It's now been a year after a bad accident to my arm which was a big obstacle in my creative process. Having two interns was a huge help, but very frustrated that my arm is not back to "normal" and may never be. Still battling with pain in making the jewelry, but think about all of the professions where pain is a normal part of the art. i.e. dance.
Art seems to always win past any obstacle....

I frequently get asked about what inspires my work. It never ceases to amaze me where I get my inspirations.
Tonight I was basking in a wonderful "Lush" bath. Lush is an international bath/cosmetics company that produces a wonderful product called a "bath bomb". It's a large compressed collection of essential oils, bicarbonate (to make it "fizz) and fun additives like rose petals. I was trying out a new "bomb" that had been made differently than ones I have tried in the past.
A slower "micro" fizz melted like a white spacial cloud in my bath while producing little bubbles periodically bursting into the design that continued to form and move.
The formations, texture and movement continued to intrigue me and still thinking about how I can "translate" to a piece of wearable art.
How delicate can I go...hmmmm.

An Exciting New Year

Being a complete neophyte, I am new to the blogging world. So, wonderful bloggers...please have patience as I learn how to use this medium!
